Volunteers are our heartbeat

They choose to leave their lives behind and come from all walks of life to help tutor, coach, organize awareness campaigns, mentor and help raise funds for the organization. They come together to work tirelessly in “interesting” conditions, and the amazing part of it is they do it for free.

We have many opportunities for you to be a volunteer. If you're interested or talented in a specific area, we most likely can use your help. At Vulindlela we strive to give our volunteers the big-picture about the poverty and development in our base area, in turn this tends to give them a bigger picture of what is happening right across South Africa

What is Volunteering?

There are many ways of defining what volunteering is. At i.Do Foundation, this is how we break it down!!!

A volunteer is someone who is devoted and committed in giving their time and energy for the benefit of the community, which is undertaken “MAHALA” (FREELY) without wanting financial gain.

Why volunteer?

What can I do?

Tutoring, Sports, Mentoring of our students, Organising of events

What you do as a volunteer depends on what you want to achieve. Everyone has a personal reason for volunteering and you should choose something that will help you fulfil your personal goal. Whatever your age, interests or background, whether you can commit regularly or occasionally, there is likely to be something suitable for you. There are opportunities to volunteer in a wide variety of settings for example , sports training, tutoring, mentoring, orgainising of awareness campaigns, administrative work, photography and video taking and helping raise funds for the organization.
